Despina Christodolatou ( The Clayman's mother ) Lynda G. Nutt from the US Army Corps of Engineers National Water Safety Department "As manager of the US Army Corps of Engineers national water safety program, I would like to offer you my testimonial concerning work done by Paul Moldovanos, aka “The Clayman”. My comments are based on a number of contracting experiences I have had with Paul over the past couple of years and my reaction to not just his art, but to his business demeanor and reliability as a contractor. The Corps is the leading provider of outdoor recreation in the United States today. Each year, the Corps hosts nearly a half billion visitors on its lakes, rivers and waterways, making water safety a leading concern. My program manages the educational component of the Corps efforts, and distributes materials to nearly every sector of the nation. We first introduced Paul’s work into our program during the 2000 recreation season. Paul had produced a series of three-dimensional water safety posters, featuring lively and colorful characters, the likes of which the Corps had never used. During the design stage of this first series of posters, Paul was diligent in his coordination and efforts to attain the desired effects I sought. The success of his efforts on our behalf is noteworthy. More than 120,000 copies of these posters were distributed nationwide that first year, followed by numerous requests for copies of the art to use in other ways beyond posters. Another 60,000 copies of the posters were distributed during the second year, due to popular demand. Today, many Corps of Engineers lakes across the U.S. display varieties of Paul’s art on such things as hot air balloons, banners, web sites, puzzles, postcards, and kiosks. Interestingly enough, Paul is not as impressed with any of the numbers or uses as he is with the notion that his work might actually save a child from drowning. Now that’s impressive. Currently, Paul is under contract with us to design and develop additional water safety posters for use throughout the Lewis and Clark Bicentennial (2003-2007). This is an important commemoration to us, involving many areas currently under Corps management. I am pleased with how earnestly Paul has picked up the challenge to provide key water safety images that fit the Bicentennial theme, while providing historically accurate detailing in such things as his characters’ military clothing and boats. I am pleased to have opportunity to employ Paul’s work in my program. I was lucky to find him, and enthusiastically recommend him. Greg Spiridellis from JibJab.com
Great characters and a great website! Thanks Clayman! Larry Trimmer from Strategic Media Inc. Advertising

I am writing to introduce Paul Moldovanos, The Clayman, with whom I have recently collaborated on an animation project. I had an idea for an animated image for a car dealer client. I found myself struggling locally to find someone who could take the "Chevy Giant" concept from a spoken idea, through rough drafts, to sculpted image, to high resolution 3-D animation. By what has proven to be an incredible stroke of luck I found Paul's work on the internet, and now the "Chevy Giant" is hard at work on TV for my client. I could go on and on, but let me simply say the Paul has proven himself to be that rare combination of artist and professional businessperson. He has made every deadline on time and on budget. He has kept every promise, and his work speaks for itself. Although we have never met face to face, I have come to consider him both as a valued associate and a friend. Sincerely, Larry Trimmer, President Tara Shanks Owner and President- Monkey Doodles-

Recently Paul Moldovanos, and associates of the Clayman Studio created a fantastic monkey puppet for my company Monkey Doodles Play and Learn Ltd., a developmental learning center for toddlers. The monkey is life size with a body two feet long and arms, legs and tail of 3 feet long. Paul went above and beyond what I expected. The product he created would melt any child’s heart. It is cute, soft, huggable and works perfectly for getting the kids into the activities of the day. This beautiful puppet came from Paul’s imagination and a rough picture of what I wanted the puppet to look like. The puppet is so great even the parents ask if they can play with it. From its eyes to its tail, it was well thought out and perfectly designed. Paul’s communication and promptness made this process so easy and relaxing. He emailed pictures as the puppet was being created and he called with any questions he had. Paul also created little extra things for the puppet that I would never have thought of such as a sleeve for the puppet in case the kids would like to use him. This way the puppet would stay clean inside. He also put Velcro on the hands and feet of the puppet, not only so the puppet can hug someone but so that the little toddlers would not yank off it’s legs trying to hold it. This experience has been extremely positive. I did not have to chase Paul to get things done. He did them quickly and efficiently. His communication was excellent and his ideas and final product were amazing. I would recommend Paul to anyone. Shayna Dillon from Partners
