Sean Newton
Associate Animation Supervisor

Sean Newton has worked in the animation industry since 1973. Originally from Victoria, he has lived all over the world, working as a character designer, director,animation supervisor animator, layout artist, storyboard artist, concept artist, special effects animator,and prop designer for companies such as Walt Disney, Hanna Barbera, Rainmaker entertainment, Mainframe, Bardel Animation, Boss films, Richard Williams Studio, Passion Pictures and Colossal Pictures.

In addition to his work for television and video, he has worked on a number of feature films, including "Ghostbusters," "The Wall", "Heavy Metal " and "Natural Born Killers".

He worked as an animation supervisor in studios in Taiwan, Korea, Japan and China , where he supervised productions such as "Scooby Doo", "The Flintstones", "Johnny Quest","The Smurfs"," The Snorks" and "Duck Tales."

After returning home, he worked in Vancouver as an animation director for Disney TV Animation Canada, working on shows such as "Pocahontas 2 , Journey to a New World" and "Beauty and the Beast 2, the Enchanted Christmas". In addition to his animation work, Sean still finds time for his own painting, sculpture, ceramics and printmaking.
