Paul Moldovanos The Clayman aka Paul Moldovanos, is an animation film-maker, cartoonist, sculptor, comedy writer and character designer living in beautiful Vancouver, BC, Canada with my two black cats, M&M. Paul's website 'TheClayMan.com' is dedicated to the arts of animation, cartooning and comedy but also offers portfolio samples, short animated films, popular animation resource link directories plus informative FAQ and weblog (blog) pages. The Clayman is a self taught artist, and entrepreneur who began his cartooning career making polymer clay cartoon fridge magnets for family and friends. This led to a year long internship with a leading Canadian stop motion animation company in the early 90's where he fine tuned his skills and learned a great deal about traditional hand drawn, and hand sculpted animation as well as participated in a number of productions. In his past, The Clayman has co-owned several successful 400+ seat restaurants, has travelled Canada as a stage manager and lead writer for Royter's Dreamlike Reality Hypnotic Comedy Show, and was also the head designer of non-ferrous jewelry and home accent functional art for Vizible Fix Design which he ultimately shelved in order to pursue a career in cartooning and animation. He launched his first clay cartoon website in 1996 which featured some of his character designs featured on a line of greeting cards and in a short time, the website attracted the attention of the American Bar Association, Pfizer Pharmaceuticals, the US Army Corps of Engineers and C4 Innovations Inc. who have since commissioned the studio to create visual campaigns for various print and animation projects. Paul's artwork has also been featured in MAD Magazine, on City TV's Breakfast TV Vancouver, CHUM Television's VILand Parade, Canwest Global's Go!, Partner's in Motion production of 'Very Odd Jobs and in the Burnaby NOW Newspaper. Today 'TheClayMan.com' has been visited by over a million people world-wide, and currently enjoys top ratings on all major search engines. Our website also enjoys the wide variety of commercial production inquiries it receives, and in an attempt to accomodate some of your larger requests, Paul has formed a number of strategic partnerships and associations with Canada's leading animation production studios, rapid prototyping 3D foam fabricators, internet development companies and freelance independent artists. The Clayman and associates are currently developing several new animation properties, using both traditional 3D stop motion puppet animation, and 3D CG ( computer generated ) animation.
