The Clayman - (AKA - Paul Moldovanos) Producer, Designer, Project Manager & Photographer
Self taught artist, and entrepreneur, Paul Moldovanos began his cartooning career making polymer clay cartoon fridge magnets for family and friends. This led to a year long apprenticeship with a leading Canadian stop motion animation company, Bowes Productions, in the early 90's where, under the mentorship of David Bowes and Lisa Jane Gray, he fine tuned his skills and learned a great deal about traditional hand drawn, and hand sculpted animation. During this time, he participated in a number of productions including television commercials for Pharmasave, BCAA, Lotus Awards and Fuji TV Tongue Twister short films.
He launched his first clay cartoon website in 1996 which featured some of his character designs on a line of greeting cards and in a short time, the website attracted the attention of the American Bar Association, Pfizer Pharmaceuticals, the US Army Corps of Engineers and C4 Innovations Inc. who have since commissioned the studio to create visual campaigns for various print and animation projects.
