Bob Ziegler The Clayman's studio is happy to introduce 3D Photography Printing associate Bob Zielger. Bob Ziegler (born 1951, USA). After obtaining a university degree in engineering, he felt the urge to see the world and seek accomplishment. 1974 brought him to join the Peace Corps and then to Asia and Malaysia. Work in communities in Malaysia brought a great deal of maturity, along with knowledge of different peoples and cultures. His work in following years involved travel to all continents and many countries around the world, in particular due to his work in the forest industries. He was a partner in one of the first wood product companies in Malaysia to obtain the international FSC certification for conservation and sustainability in forest industries. In all of his work, there was always a very strong motivation and appreciation in all things involved with design, imagery and innovation. "Thinking outside the box" has always served him well in his endeavors. His training in engineering also fostered that second nature for detail and meticulous effort. Servicing customers in Japan reinforced these concepts also as their "kaizen" approach of constant incremental improvement usually brings a higher level of results. An early exposure in the 60's to Kodak's Brownie cameras probably planted that seed of photography. All of this it turns out is so important in photography, more so in 3-dimensional photography. Three-dimensional photography encompasses all the aspects of traditional photography (lighting/shadow, color temperature, lens focus, composition, etc.; while requiring additional parameters of depth/shadow, parallax, pivot points, perspectives, optics, etc. His use of 3-dimensional photography enhances the images in ways seldom seen in photographic medium. Lighting, perspective, and focus have always been used by photographers to produce that all important feeling of depth and dimension in images. Now, 3rd-dimension photography adds "depth character" to the images. The results are images that intrigue, entice and grab the viewer bringing them deeper into the image where one feels to be present at the scene. His company, Zioss, in partnership with his children, was established to commercialize this 3D photography. Send requests to: Telephone/Fax: 604-524-8727
